RSI (Relative Strength Index) is an oscillator, widely used in technical analysis of financial markets. It compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses and determine oversold and overbought.

The Relative Strength Index was created by J. Welles Wilder. It is the most popular momentum indicator, which measures internal potential of security. As well as the ROC, the RSI attempts to identify overbought or oversold conditions.
